Annual Report

Each year funds are required to provide investors with reporting information on the fund; this is typically required as part of regulations. The kinds of information an annual report contains includes accounting information such as statement of income, assets, cash flows, etc. The report will also contain detailed performance information, and some will detail some of the key holdings of the fund; and most will contain comprehensive commentary on the markets and the fund performance. Depending on the jurisdiction investors will be sent a brief/short-form annual report, but may request the full detailed annual report. Investors may also be sent semi-annual or quarterly reports depending on how the fund manager runs their operation.

Synonyms: Performance report, Quarterly report, Fund report, Client reports
