Ask Price

The ask price or offer price is the price at which investors can buy additional units of a fund. The price is essentially the net asset value of the fund plus any sales charge. There will typically be a gap between the bid price and the ask price, the ask price is the higher price and the bid price is the lower price; thus if you instantly bought and sold you would end up with a loss - this represents a profit to the fund.

Synonyms: Asking price, Offer price, Ask
