A broker is a firm or an individual at a firm which buys and sells units/shares in mutual funds (as well as other securities). A broker is just one of a few ways by which investors can gain access to mutual funds. Investors should weight the costs and benefits of using brokers e.g. access to range of funds, research services, etc.
