Grantor Trust

A grantor trust is a type of fund structure in the US that distributes dividends directly to shareholders, and allows investors to keep rights in the underlying securities e.g. voting rights. HOLDRs are an example of an exchange traded fund product using the grantor trust structure, HOLDRs are a product of Merill Lynch.
