Growth and Income Fund

A "Growth and Income Fund" is a type of investment fund that has both capital growth and income generation as the joint investment objectives and marketing angle of the fund. A Growth and Income fund may invest only in equities, but it might also take a more balanced approach, incorporating fixed income assets, REITS, as well as other securities and asset classes. These types of funds are favored by those with a moderate appetite for risk and volatility, or those who seek income but also wish to have a growth element in their investment.

Synonyms: Hybrid fund, Growth fund, Income fund, Balanced fund
