An Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) is a UK term which denotes a professional individual or firm that is authorized by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) to provide financial advice and sell financial products such as mutual funds. Investors in the UK should check whether their financial adviser is qualified and registered as an IFA under this scheme.
