Net Exposure

Net exposure is the difference between the aggregate "long" and "short" positions that a fund has in various assets, derivatives, and securities; in relation to the overall assets of the fund. As an example, a fund with a 70% long exposure, and a 40% short exposure, would be 30% net long.
