Portfolio Manager

Portfolio managers are key staff in fund management operations. The portfolio manager's job is to construct and monitor the portfolio based on the investment mandate and guidelines, and the investment strategy and objectives of the fund. A fund manager will need to consider things like liquidity, investing new cash that comes in, setting weightings to various stocks and securities, and will generally be responsible for and compensated on the performance of the fund.
