Aggressive Growth Fund

An Aggressive Growth Fund is an investment fund which invests in companies with high growth potential, with the objective of realizing strong capital gains. Aggressive growth funds generally have higher risk, and will likely have a higher portfolio beta. Some aggressive growth funds may also employ strategies such as flicking IPO stock for quick profits, and using options to leverage up potential gains. Aggressive growth funds are generally suited to investors with the willingness and capacity to bear extra risk in exchange for potentially higher returns, and generally who have a longer investment time frame.

Synonyms: High growth fund, Capital appreciation fund, Maximum capital gains fund, Alpha fund
