Anticipated Holding Period

The term Anticipated Holding Period refers to the time period which a limited partnership expects to hold a specific asset. Once the specified time frame has elapsed the fund will then usually sell the holding(s) and distribute the capital to investors in a one-off distribution. The anticipated holding period of such a fund will be disclosed in its prospectus.
