Asia 4 Tigers

The Asia 4 Tigers, or Asian Tigers refers to Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan. These countries were identified as fast growing emerging Asian economies that were popular for investment during the 1990's and early 2000's. The term Asian Tigers is not as commonly used these days, as the Asia story has become more of a China story. However these markets still attract strong investment flows, and are more and more becoming characteristic of developed markets, given the pace of expansion and wealth growth.

Synonyms: Asian Tigers, Emerging Asia
