Manager of Managers

A manager of managers is a type of fund manager or adviser which oversees investments, and appoints specialist fund managers to manage the underlying portfolio. A manager of managers may also have specialist asset allocation capabilities e.g. strategic asset allocation, dynamic asset allocation, or tactical asset allocation; whereby they will attempt to add further value by adjusting the asset allocations of the overall portfolio. Manager of managers generally have high skills and strong systems for researching, selecting and monitoring the underlying fund managers.
